Anthony
J. Rusciano
is the Chairman of Plunkett Cooney’s Board of Directors,
and a member of the firm’s Healthcare Industry and Commercial
Litigation Practice Groups. Mr. Rusciano concentrates
his practice in the area of commercial litigation, including
disputes, which confront issues such as anti-trust, intellectual
property, breach of contract, unfair competition, condemnation,
business torts, and labor and employment.
Representative
Client Work
- On behalf of one
of the nation's leading marketing and media services
companies, obtained a $300 million jury verdict as co-counsel
in a high profile unfair competition case against
Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation. The verdict is
the largest jury award in the history of the state
of Michigan.
- Defended a large
cemetery in a dispute with a municipality concerning
eminent domain issues.
- Defended a Michigan
city in a condemnation dispute with a township.
- As Co-counsel for
an integrated multi-provider network, prosecuted a multi-million
dollar arbitration claim for breach of a managed care
contract, resulting in mid-seven-figures settlement
in client's favor.
- Defended a Michigan
village in a condemnation action involving a landowner.
- Defended a large
technology company in a multi-million dollar breach
of contract action with an Ohio business.
- Represented businesses
in various internal discrimination investigations
and also audits by different federal agencies.
